BaritoneMellow, low sounds. Low Brass instrument. Rented from the school and students leave one at home and one at school so they only bring the mouthpiece to school | BassoonWoodwind instrument that plays low sounds using a double reed. Students who play bassoon need to take private lessons from a bassoonist. | ClarinetWoodwind instrument with a warm sound using a single reed. Can play low and high notes! Need a LOT of clarinets in a band! |

FluteWoodwind instrument that produces high notes by blowing lots of air across a hole. | French HornBrass instrument that makes a mellow, warm sound. Can play high and low. | OboeWoodwind instrument that uses a double reed. Higher pitched with a unique sound. Students who play oboe need to take private lessons in order to be successful. |

SaxophoneWoodwind instrument that uses a single reed to make a deep, loud sound. Made of brass and is heaviest woodwind instrument. | TrumpetBrass instrument with a bright sound. Plays sounds using a smaller mouthpiece | PercussionStudents who learn percussion learn both xylophone & snare drum (not drum set). Piano background is helpful! |

TromboneA Low Brass instrument. Produces crisp, low sounds using a slide instead of keys. Bands need lots of trombonists! | TubaThe anchor of the band! Plays low notes and has a full, deep sound. All students will carry only a mouthpiece to school. Students will have one instrument to keep at home and one to use at school. |
